Julia is a producer, writer, and filmmaker and the founder of Fat Bambino.
With a diverse background in documentary, commercial, scripted television as well as experience in London’s dynamic and fast-paced tech startup scene, Julia combines a sharp creative vision with an entrepreneurial mindset, to craft compelling and commercially ambitious stories.
As a producer, Julia is best known for her work on Das Boot (Seasons 2–4), Munich Games, Freud and The Athena. Her work has received multiple awards and nominations, including a Best Documentary nomination for Wirecard – The Million Dollar Lie and 12 wins and 16 nominations for Das Boot.
Before launching Fat Bambino, Julia built a career on growth and innovation – scaling business units, shaping creative strategies, and spearheading co-productions. She holds a German diploma (B.A. + M.B.A.) in Media Business and Management from Johannes Gutenberg Universität, Mainz.
Julia has lived and worked in several different countries around the world, and has developed a strong instinct for character-driven narratives rooted in authenticity.
A former athlete, Julia competed in the 2011, 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2022 World Championships of Ultimate Frisbee.
